The Panamanian Chamber of Construction or CAPAC held their annual exposition at the Atlapa Convention Center in Panama City. The Expo, which ran from Sept 11 thru 15, was attended by over 400 exhibitors. The Expo featured some 600 real estate projects and 14 mortgage lenders, both public and private. The Expo was attended by several thousand visitors over the 5 days. During this time, over 2100 homes were sold and mortgage lenders realized transactions totaling nearly 180 million dollars. This surprised event organizers and surpassed their projections by 50%.
